Last weekend Johnny and I decided to have a great adventure! So where did we head you ask? Boise, Idaho! OKay, okay, I know it doesn't SOUND that exciting, but you must admit, any amount of time spent in a car with an iPod loaded with hours of awesome music is a great adventure!
We started off our Boise experience in welcoming my friend Desiree back to the US from her honorable LDS Mission in Rosario Argentina. Isn't she cute? She looks great for having been on a plane for about 20 hours to get home! She is my best friend from my days of living in New York. We were nannies, and two of the few LDS YSA in our area.
As you can see by her shoes, she walked a LOT, and was a hard worker! She had moleskin across the back, and newspaper in the soles! Talk about making things last until the end!
After we welcomed Desi, Johnny and I set out with a couple of friends to see the 'sights' of Boise, Idaho's great capital city. Jake and Patrick were excellent tour guides, (thanks guys!) and we ate at this fantastic Greek restaurant Cazba. I ate Almond Chicken Curry! It was awesome. But we forgot our leftovers at the place we stayed. DANG!!
This is a picture of Johnny and I at "The Depot". If you look closely, you can see the state capital building in the centerish back. It was taken with my digital camera on a night mode exposure, no flash. I wished I had used a flash though, so Johnny and I would have shown up better. Oh well, I'll know for next time, I guess.
We spent the night in Boise, and then drove up to Payette, ID to See Desi speak in Church. Check out our Payette experience, and our tour guides at Johnny's Blog
After Church and a little party at Desi's place, Johnny and I skipped over the Snake River into Oregon, as Johnny had never been there before. But as we all can see, now she has! What a great weekend!
