Before I go off and explore new advenutres in the East, I decided it was time to feel a bit more fashionable, and put some spunk on my scalp. Last time I moved across the country I chopped off my long locks, so this time I decided I'd fulfill my need for sassiness with color.
It was a first for me. Not with hair dye, I've done plenty of that . . . but with foil. It had to be documented. "With all this foil on my head, I'm gettin' HBO"
Ok ok, perhaps it's not the most flattering picture, BUT who could pass up putting a picture of yourself underneath a hair dryer on the internet? Not me! And thankfully enough my red and blonde highlights turned out splendidly! Just enough to add some flare, yet subduded enough that I don't feel like a skunk!
Today was a PERFECT day for a wedding, well the weather was at least. Here is the Logan Temple, where Johnny and Matt were sealed for Time and All Eternity! I did not attend the actual ceremony, but I was surely outside waiting for them to come outside!
And there they are! I hadn't seen Johnny's dress on her until this moment, but I love it on her! So simple, and classic! And the green ribbon makes it HERS! And Matt looked great in his tux!
Look at how happy they are! I bet they were thinking, "where are my sunglasses?" though! It was nice and bright!
Johnny's Dad Modesto, flew in from the Philippines two days before the wedding so he could attend the celebration!
Modesto, Johnny, and Matt.
Here is a great girly shot of Jessie, I, Johnny, Celeste, and Kristina.
And the blushing bride herself, my inspiration and left hand gal, Johnny!!
We may not get together as often as wel like these days, but my friends and I try and get in a few good hang out sessions a year. This time it was a pure spur of the moment. Basically I called around to see who was in town, and drove to a few houses because I didn't have old phone numbers, but the result was fansastic!
Campfire is an essential part of us getting together. During our high school years we had many. Usually they were illegal, but they were frequent. That and campouts . . . late night park visits . . . meeting and running from the cops . . .
Ben and I go back quite a way! We worked together at Bell View Elementary as sanitation engineers when we were 14! I love a good talk with Ben as always brings wisdom and great stories! He's definately one of the best story tellers I know!
Jessie and Sean. Ahhh, young love!
Seth knows how to treat the camera! Doesn't he have a remarkable resemblance to Popeye?
And here is the whole crew in attendance . . . Jeremy trying to jump in the fire, and on the next row is me, Melanie, Natalie, Jessie, Kali, Teri, (my adorable little sis to I basically forced to come with us). Next row, Seth, Levi, Mike, Seannie, Ben, and Andy in the back back.
Today I got a call from my friend Marrian, and she told me that there was a quite a sight in Bountiful this week. Apparently there is a show that helps out people by rebuilding them a home more functional for their lifestyle. It's all done by volenteers, and donated material. So, Marrian and I decided we should go take a look.
This is a picture of the house two days in. I wish I could have gotten a better shot, but it was raining, and there was a tornado warning that night for the area we lived! It was crazy!
Here is Jakob, Marrian's bouncing baby boy! Isn't he cute!
