Thailand is the Place for Beauty
Just got an update from John:
These are from Southern Thailand. It is so beautiful over there. I am so lucky to be able to come here. I hope you all are enjoying yourselves, and your having an awesome summer.
Talk to you soon,
~John
Wow! I LOVE THAT SUNSET!
Anyone want to swim with the monkeys?
Green. Kinda reminds me of NNY.
Now, what that sign was about, I have no idea. But ladies, you better make sure you have an identification card! OR ELSE!

Spontaneity
Sometimes one must make decisions quickly before really thinking over the reality of the situation. By doing such, one enjoys life more fully and experiences a greater feeling of adventure. Such is the life of mine.
Sunday night I called up my good friend Desiree, and told her we needed to go to New York for the weekend. Within the next 48 hours, we were booking our flights on expedia.com and renting a car. I feel pretty cool for being able to rent a car at the ripe young age of 22. Within 60 hours of now, I will be at SLC airport catching a flight to New York. Four days, three nights, and lots of fun and adventure awaits us!
Spontaneity is the best!

Extreme Hiking?
This afternoon my friend Scott decided we needed to get out. After going to see STAR WARS Episode III Revenge of the Sith, I was completely happy with the thought of coming home and watching more [Scrubs] that afternoon. We did, but soon he got restless. "Let's go hiking" he suggeseted, so I figured "Why not?"
Well a good idea indeed! Here is a shot of the valley from just below where we ended. It was a gorgeous day, and great hard hike.
Here is Scott crossing the Waterfall. He was going to jump, and then figured that those skinny little chicken legs of his could actually do him some good, so he just strattled the pass instead. What a great hike!

Out with the old, in with the new
I received my new camera today. Took about a week to ship and all, but I'm totally stoked. This was the first picture I took with it. It's of the old, broken camera. See the crack in the shutter? Think I could sell it on ebay? Well, at least we all know now what happens when cameras get dropped. It's an awesome small camera and has a ton of features, so I bought one just like it again. I'll just be a little more careful with it the second time around.
Happy Birthday Jessie!
Happy Birthday Sarah!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE! Another friend that I don't have a picture of on hand, but that I am in the process of aqiuring. Man, is this is the week of birthdays for me or what?!?! I guess Taurus' is a good sign for my friends. Anywho, Happy Brithday Sarah, dude!

Scott, what a friend!
So Scott, our friend and regular inhabitant of the house made me a very happy grrrl tonight. You see, as we lack "bunny ears" for the TV in our house, we don't stay up to date with what is on television. Due to the lack, I've now found that when I have access to live TV, I become completely transfixed. Outstreched neck, wide open mouth, glazed over eyes, the whole sha*bang*.
Tonight after Johnny made the most FANTASTIC chicken fried rice Scott broke out his newest purchase, [Scrubs] Season One. I then proceeded to spend the next three hours completely engrossed in the show. I have finally found my favorite show on Television. THEN he did the ultimate thing and left the dvds at our house so we could watch the rest of the season. Thanks Scott, you're a real pal.

Happy Birthday to John . . .
So, it's my good friend John's birthday today . . . if I had a picture of him I'd post it, but I've got to scrounge one up. Until then, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN! Hope you're having fun right now in Bangkok, Thailand! See you when you return to the US of A!
Nice that the day after I originally posted that, John sent some picture of himself in Thailand, or I'm assuming he's still there . . . What a rascallian!

Another one Bites the Dust!
After searching far and wide Tamri has found her soul mate, Mark. Tamri and I met up while working in New York. We had our fun times, running around NYC in the rain, romping about Westchester in tutus, and eating ice cream cones with Petey in the parking lot of The Food Emporium at one o'clock in the morning. Don't lose the enthusiasm now that you're old and married! Much Love!

ROAD TRIP part deux!
So, I'm off of yet another GREAT adventure. Jenny and I are leaving in about ten minutes for BOISE! What can I say, I didn't get enough of it last month.
Update on the camera, I ended up getting a new one on e-bay, and I got a great deal. Apparently warranties are no good if the darn thing gets dropped. Oh well, I've learned my lesson, eh?

What the?
This morning I awoke to find that it was snowing outside! "What?!! Are you kidding me??" Was what ran through my head. It is May afterall, MAY!! Had Kristina been here, she may have awoke looking something like this:
Good thing she's in Maryland visiting her family and boyfriend! Talk about SEXY BEAST!!
And now an update on the Camera, I've come to find that getting ahold of a company who's technicians are located on the East coast is insane. Especially when the department closes during my lunch break! I missed talking to them the last two days because I was a minute late calling and getting through their crazy phone tree. I'm taking my lunch break early today so I can get ahold of them!

Thank Hades for Little Boys!
The nephews are just as fun and cute as the neices, they just bring more trouble.
This is my nephew John. He is four, and as cute as a button. After I took the picture of the neices, I let John play with my camera. I didn't see a problem, as it's digital, and I had a 512 SD card in so he could take pictures until the battery died, and I'd still have space. He took pictures of my parents, his parents, the ironing board, the dining room table, the computer screen . . . virtually everything in the room.
This was the best picture John took. This is my nephew Nicholas who's five, and me.
This one Nicholas took, talk about a close up of John! He kind of looks like a turtle, a CUTE turtle that is. They are so cute!
Well cuteness aside, kids can only play with expensive equiptment for so long before catastrophe strikes. Needless to say, the camera was dropped, and the shutter broke. It's as much my falut as anyones but I'm totally bummed. So, now my quest is to find out what kind of a warranty I have.

Thank Heaven for Little Girls!
These are the two newest additions to my family. Karyssa Rose, born March 2004; and Isabelle Jeane Marie, born March 2005 (and lets not forget Stephanie, my sister who is holding them both). Karyssa completely adores "Belle", and loves to hold and kiss her. Thankfully I have siblings who provide me with adorable neices and nephews!

Generation what?
After Holly and I finished painting the hallway Saturday night, we decided we better leave the house for fear of getting brain damage from the fumes.
We picked up some Beto's breakfast burritos and decided to show up fashionably late at Jenny's (after the fact) Cinco de Mayo party. Well, fashionable late may be pushing it. We missed the pinata, horchata, salsa . . . and not to mention a room full of hot, available, men. We did make it in time to watch the last half of The Mask of Zorro though, so we had something in our corner.
As Holly and I were chompin' down our burritos we were telling Jenny about Holly's Graduation, and my previous post about a degree in Geography. (For the record, I think the fact that Holly and Jessie graduated is awesome, and the reason why I mock it so is that when I eventually go back to school, I will probably get a degree in Geography as well. To tell the truth, if anything, I'm the lame one, because I am a semeseter away from my ASSOCIATES degree, and quit school three years ago to play and romp around the world. I just don't have the patience or attention span to go back to school yet!) Jenny wanted me to 'publish' her too, so we found a good reason later on.
You see, this is Jenny's ultra-hip new belt. She got it for $2.50 at the local "gen X" kinda store. She was totally excited to show everyone at the party, and wanted to make sure that all of creation knew about the great deal too. If I could only find such pleasures in the simple things! You rock Jenny! Now here is the real question though, Jenny, why were you at "gen X" in the first place?

Make way for Creativity!
When I was living in New York a few years ago, while on a road trip to Baltimore I stopped at IKEA and bought the coolest wall mirror for only 20 bucks! I then toted it all around the state for the next two years. When it came time to move back to Utah, I simply didn't have the space for my Father, (who drove with me) everything I owned AND the mirror in my '91 Toyota Corolla, So I regretfully sold it for 20 bucks. I was so sad for fear I would never find another large mirror for such a great price.
A month ago however, I stopped at a yard sale because as I drove by I noticed they were selling some board games. I stopped, bought two games, a TV, and a large wall mirror that is about the same size as the one from IKEA! Best part about it though? It was only 20 bucks!
Today, I decided that it was about time I hung the darned mirror up, and upon the thought I said mentioned to Holly that we should paint it. Then the painting idea spead to painting our doors in the hallway, and cupboards and drawers as well.
So there is is, the mirror (still unhung, but I have the tools to do it now!) and Holly's door.
Here is our cupboards and hallway closet.
And of course the bathroom door. We decided to paint eveything blue, to match our shower curtian! I wish I had better pictures, but the space is so small, so I did what I could anyway.
Needless to say, it's amazing what can happen with a quick trip to Lowe's! We thought about painting the molding in the hallway too, but then decided against it because that would be a heck of a lot of work! What we did was enough!

Spot, to say the least
So, last night I proved my love for my roommate Kristina. I, being the "local concert junkie" roommate, was asked to accompany Her to try out for a band. So we got to the place, and the drummer (I think his name was Drew or something?) met us at the door with a terrier, that we'll call Spot. I took a seat on the couch, and Kristina took the microphone. As I sat, Spot came over and sat next to me, as I was the "new" thing in his habitat he proceeded to sniff me and try to lick me. Because I've had experiences with these kind of dogs before, the thought came to my mind, "Dirty little creature. I'm going to get white dog hair all over my dark brown cordory coat." I didn't want to pet the thing, as it would only encourage more fur to fly, but it kept nudging me. I ended up simply placing my hand on its back, and it seemed to suffice and Spot sat still.
Then the music began. Kristina was awesome, and the guys were impressed. I was especially impressed as this was not Her typical music genre, but she sang solid. About two-thirds through the song, Spot started getting all antsy and shaking. At first I figured he was freaking out because of how loud the music was. It jumped across me, and tried to get up on the back on the couch. Me being fearful of anything near my face, made it get down, and sit next to me again. As the song was about over the little varmit jumped across me and peed all over my pants and coat, then bolted for the door.
I was completely grossed out. I thankfully held back the initial waves of hurling, because afterall, how would that have looked to the band that Kristina so wanted to be a part of. I sat there for about five more minutes thinking, "that fetching little mongrel . . . &@%^*##!!!!!" As we left, Kristina said, "that was fun, wasn't it!" to which I replied "fun enough to make up for the fact that the dog peed on me?" To which was her reply . . .
"What??!!! Ewwwww!! Gross!!! Are you kidding? *sniff sniff* You DO smell like pee pee!" I then spent the next five minutes gagging, and she was laughing her head off! Each time she said the word "pee" I gagged again. it was seriously the most I've ever gagged in my life! I thought I was going to blow chunks in my car! Finally once I turned on the air conditioning full blast, rolled down the windows and drove a few miles I stopped the gagging.
All for the love of Kristina. I'm not so sure I will step foot back in the studio, for fear that if I see little Spot again, he's going to get drop kicked!

Oh, wait . . . that and they just got ENGAGED! Congratulations you guys! I guess I get to be a bridemaid again! Yee HAH!! Anyway, Keep rawkin' you awesome kids!

What kind of Diploma is that?
I don't know about you, but when you get that cool leather holder thingy for a diploma, don't you think the diploma should be in it? From what I understand it takes an extra three months for them to actually receive the darned things! What kind of recognition is that? How is Jessie going to make a living in the mean time? How will she survive?
I figured it out! She'll live off the resources of snatching those left-over doughnuts from the Graduation breakfast!
They Gad-g-a-ted!
Let's all put our hands together to welcome the newest recipients of the Bachelor Degree in Geography! Here are two of my roommates, and close friends. Holly and Jessie, though they never lived together nor realized they were in the same classes, they have now both lived across the hall from me in my house. Jessie moved out in December, making way for my Holly-Bean, and now she's leaving me too! The Nerve! Make way for Celeste!
Holly, Jessie, Andrea and Andrew along with the professors of the Geography department.
So anywho, now that they have all acheived the status of saying, "I'm a College Graduate!" What are they going to do next? Who knows! With a degree in Geography they'll probably be bussing tables next year. But think of the differential they'll make with that hard earned degree! Oh the possibilities!
Well, at least they can start by taking out the trash! Ow Oww!!

You think he'd learn?
This is my good friend Scott. He is a smart, outdoorsy kinda guy, who is self-proclaimed "devishly handsome". Next week he will graduate from Weber State University, and head off to slave away the summer and next year to save for his eventual goal of medical school. He frequents the house, and my roommates and I enjoy his lighthearted, tactless sence of humor. He is a typical male. He spends enough time aroung women to be adored by them, but does not know anything about the inner workings of a woman's mind, or what she must go through to keep up with the rigourous task of staying the ever so necessary eye-candy. A few nights ago, we taught him a little about tank-tops.
You see, to fulfill my ongoing quest to dress modestly, I have recently bought some tank-tops to wear as undershirts, so that neither my clevage, nor my love-handles hang out of my outer-wear. The tank-top keeps me well protected, and non-pornographic. To make them as modest as possible I have to cut out the built in "bra" that most women find is all they need for support. If I leave this so called "bra" attached to the tank-top, let's just say it does not fulfill the aforementioned purposes to keep me covered.
As I was cutting out one of these "bras" Scott looked rather purplexed. I explained what I was doing, and needless to say, he got a little carried away with the refuse. The rest is history.
Scott proceeded to fashion a pair of "panties" out of the scraps, and embroidery floss that my roommate, Jami LET HIM HAVE. She was going to use it for cross-stitching, but it's not going to be recycled. Oh no.
So there it is. Scott, the home-made panties, and some of the best black mail pictures I've ever seen. Now I'll have collateral for when he runs for Presidential Office. You'd think he'd learned his lesson of the baby blue clothing last time!
